Even a professional rhythmic gymnast sometimes can’t calm her nerves at the right moment, relax and ease unnecessary tension. In such situation there’s a risk of “psychological breakdown”.
However, not only anxiety and negative emotions can interfere in championship. Very often gymnast can lose because of yielding to the joy of victory.

Load, but don’t wear out!
In gymnastics foot and ankle are loaded most of all in the locomotor apparatus. As soon as the sprung foot function drops, noncompensated load gets higher: knees, thigh joint, loin etc. everything could suffer till the cervical spine. That’s why very often doctors treats knee, back and neck pains by the corrective insole, shaping the arch of the foot.
Summer is traditionally supposed to be a period when it’s necessary to allow time for young gymnasts’ rehabilitation after the heavy loads they carried during the gymnastics season.
