Grand Prix Thiais 2013 Results
French Thiais hosted Rhythmic gymnastics Gran Prix 2013. The participants of this tournament were, perhaps, the strongest in comparison with the other similar competitions.
It was interesting to watch the struggle between Russian gymnasts and gymnasts from other countries bearing in mind new RG Rules and the rejuvenation of Team Russia. Unfortunately, the main fight flared up between the Russian Graces: Margarita Mamun, Daria Svatkovskaia and Aleksandra Merkulova. They made the trio of winners. Neither Silvia Miteva nor Melitina Staniuta nor Neta Rivkin gained the grades which could approach them to the desired pedestal.
Ukrainian gymnasts gained even lower grades. Viktoria Mazur got the 8 th place and she really performed at that level, but Alina Maksimenko was at the 12th place, and it’s hardly can be called success.
It was unexpected to see Caroline Weber (Austria) at the 7th place, as she didn’t grab the stars from the sky earlier. But her Hoop routine was really original and public liked it a lot.
Team Russia was the strongest in Groups all around
